What happens when you remove Aeon Kairos or request deletion

If you remove Aeon Kairos from your Facebook settings (Settings & privacy → Business integrations) or send a data deletion request through Facebook, Aeon Kairos automatically:

• deletes the Facebook user and Page access tokens it stored for every business location you connected;
• stops all Facebook and Instagram webhooks for those locations, so no further leads, ad data, direct messages or comments are received;
• cancels posts that were scheduled to publish to your Page or Instagram account and stops all publishing;
• stops sending replies or messages through the connection;
• clears the stored names and identifiers of your connected Page, Instagram account, ad account and business portfolio.

What Aeon Kairos keeps, and what is deleted

The data Aeon Kairos holds for a business falls into these categories:

• Access tokens and connection identifiers — deleted automatically, as described above.
• Leads imported from Instant Forms — customer records of the business that ran the ads. Kept until the business deletes them.
• Direct messages (Messenger and Instagram) — the business's customer communication, kept like its text-message history. They stay readable to the business after disconnection and are not refreshed. A message you unsend on Facebook or Instagram is deleted from Aeon Kairos when Meta notifies us.
• Comments on Page posts, Instagram posts and ads — kept the same way. A comment you delete on Facebook or Instagram is deleted from Aeon Kairos when Meta notifies us.
• Published posts — the content a business published through Aeon Kairos, its caption and a link to the live post, kept as the business's marketing record. Scheduled posts that had not gone out are canceled.

Direct messages, comments and leads are deleted when the business asks us to, or when the business location is deleted. They are not deleted automatically when a Facebook account is disconnected or removes the app. People who wrote to a business, commented or submitted a form can ask that business, or us, to delete their information.
